Also, Elkwood Reserve will soon be available in local distribution as a small batch, bringing our 9-year, cask-strength bourbon to a broader audience. And for those beyond our physical locations, Elkwood Reserve will soon be just a click away through our online store.
Our Elkwood Reserve is not just a bourbon; it’s a testament to the milestones achieved in the expansion of Elkwood Farm.
Nestled on the historic grounds of a 62-acre farm in Midway, Kentucky, Elkwood Farm has been a canvas for our distilling dreams. The farm, dating back almost 200 years to the mid-1830s, is a proud entry on the National Historic Registry. The main residence, a charming piece of history, now stands as our visitors center, gift shop, and main bar.
Our journey began in 2018, and now Elkwood Farm is evolving into a state-of-the-art distillery. With ongoing construction of the distillery and ten barrel warehouses, we anticipate a capacity to produce over 30,000 barrels annually— a remarkable leap from the 300 barrels at our Downtown Lexington facility.
The first release of Elkwood Reserve marked a significant stride, tying its unveiling to key milestones in our expansion. From the groundbreaking at Elkwood Farm to the completion of the first on-site barrel warehouse, and the remodel of the new visitors center, each wave of releases commemorated a chapter in our journey.
As we embrace Midway, Kentucky as our new Brand Home, we will continue to grow the Elkwood Reserve label, a semi-luxury product priced between $150 – $160.
