Our journey to Elkwood Farm began in 2018, but the farm itself was constructed nearly 200 years ago in the mid-1830s. The main residence on the property now serves as our visitors center, gift shop, and main bar. Currently, we are in the process of constructing the distillery and ten barrel warehouses. Once completed, we will have the capacity to produce over 20,000 barrels per year, a significant increase from the 300 barrels produced at our Downtown Lexington facility. Furthermore, we utilize the majority of the 62 acres surrounding the home to cultivate our blue and yellow corn, which is used in the production of our bourbon.
